I have been getting nostalgic for my early days in CG. I have been in the industry for a long time. This is the 40th anniversary
of SIGGRAPH. It's in Anaheim, California this year. This will be my 20th SIGGRAPH. My first was in 1993. It happened to be in
Anaheim as well. Anyone that has spent any amount of time in CG will know the shape of the iconic Utah Teapot. In my nostalgic
haze I conjured up the idea of the abc's of the teapot. Over the years the teapot model has been used and abused by researchers to test new theories and algorithms. Here are a few examples I derived from my nostalgia and Keyshot. They are WIP. I threw in some other organic and shape based stuff I am working on as well. I was always inspired by the work of Yoichiro Kawaguchi (he will be at SIGGRAPG this year), William Latham, David Em, and Kenneth Huff. Hope you like something.
Very nice! As a matter of fact my first Siggraph was in 1993 as well. Haven't made it to all 20 since then, but certainly a few.
Very nice. The hypertextured Perlin teapot is great :)
Great work. Very impressive.
