The ability to "suppress" items in the Scene Tree would be a big help. We often use multiple configurations, multiple parts and duplicated models. We can Show/Hide, but then when you select "Show All", you again then have to drill back in and hide what you don't want, which is time consuming.
All CAD apps have this ability, usually used for configurations and development parts or subs. They remain, but are inactive, and usually reduce file size. You can unsuppress at will.
