Here are a few teaser images of a non-Toon version of my 'Wheel of the Misfortunates' animation.
Dries
part 2 of set...
It's an excellent teaser, just like all the others ....

You know, I just noticed how tiny and fragile the "critter" avatar is, in such a large and hostile world. But he/she makes the right choices, has some luck along the way, and succeeds. And we cheer. Kinda like us, in a way. It's really amazing how this whole thing has taken on a life of its own!
Maybe the saw blades are a bit too rough?

Yeah, I know. If I put the roughness anywhere between 0 and 0.065, I get very bright 'fireflies' onto the tarmac, due to the strong IES light above the avatar. They tend to be rather persistent and require long render times to fade out.
So yeah, the saw blades' roughness is a compromise. :)
Maybe a Metallic Paint?
