Title: metallic shader samples render artifacting with GI enabled setting
Post by: Konginchains on August 20, 2013, 12:47:05 AM
Hi,

I seem to be having a problem with the metallic paint shader. Under "advanced" parameters of the shader, if i set the samples to 1 or any number above 0, the gi will scatter and render like in this image here.

The aluminum post with the metallic paint shader is casting and sampling the scattering of the GI and stays that way no matter how long i wait for the render.

Also anyone know why the GI setting under render settings is locked to 1 by default? I remember i could set this number to as high as 5 in previous versions.

Please help.
