So... the model is pure rubbish (just something quickly thrown in to test with), and Dries is obviously still the caustics king - but I decided to set up a simple scene similar to his and test as a background. Reminded me of a rave or a laser show or something... Figured I would share the result here... Still working out how exactly to get a more crisp look to everything without any photoshop interference...
Sorry for blatantly hijacking the idea Dries... you are in no danger of being dethroned though. Trust me. :P
Love the idea! Can't wait to see it pushed further. Orange, maybe pink lights or a mix. Would look even cooler animated!
