Hi, is this one of the brand new mbp's? With the 'turbospeed' processors? I was about to buy one and was very curious what fps it cranked out

Ralf-S, does your MBP's fans ramp up like crazy when you're running keyshot? Mine seem to be on full blast when I have keyshot up, regardless of how heavy my models are. I have the same setup as you.

KS runs at 100% CPU, so doesn't matter how heavy or not your file is ;)  You'd even get full processor heat with an empty file open.

Is that a good thing? Sounds like a quick death for laptops.

You can set a time limit for the realtime renderer.  E.g. if you don't make any imput (camera change etc), it stops rendering.  It's in the pref.menu
