would be extremely handy to have displacementmaps as a fifth option in texturing

Makes me think of it ...
For texturing we've got color map / bump map / opacity map .. and we have a "sync" checkmark.
But what if I have a color map with 200*200 pix and then I need the bump map (say 100*200 pix) and the opacity map (also 100*200 pix) to sync ... or any other combo of 2 without the 3rd ... ?
If adding displacement maps or any other maps, that's probably an issue that will need to be addressed ...
