Title: Rhino 5, decals & KS
Post by: rfollett on January 02, 2014, 12:32:49 AM
Applying decals in Rhino is very quick and simple and once applied they don't move and you never need to re-apply.

BUT they don't appear in KS when you open the 3DM file . They also dont appear when you export file.

I have applied a texture mapping and a standard decal in Rhino V5 and it would be so nice if they appeared in KS?

I'm not sure I would call anything in Rhino quick and simple, but we will take a look to see what the issue is.

@clement from Rhino forums told me to just use the 'Bake' command - this would let you create a texture for the surface. Hope that helps!
(just tried with one patch, that's why the cropped logo)

Thank you - hopefully works better now (not sure!) as I logged this 2 years ago!
