I keep getting this error with a SolidWorks assembly. Does anyone know of a workaround? The assembly worked earlier, I don't know what changed. I've had this happen before and I've been able to get it to work eventually (not knowing what I did any differently to get it to work), but it's a hassle.
I just noticed another user posted a question relating to the does not contain 3d... error, but I think this may (maybe not?) be unrelated since they are different file formats.
In what version of SolidWorks was the assembly created?
Also, do you have all the parts and not just the top-level assembly?
This is SW 2013 SP 4.0. Yes I have all the parts and top level assy (all in same folder - on network). We have been having slow network issues this week, but I've experienced it before. I didn't try copying it to the hard drive. I got it to work eventually, once again not knowing what I did differently to get it to work.
I've also noticed that sometimes SW parts' geometry doesn't update unless you explicitly open the part (separate from the assy) and save it individually from the assy.
