Title: Semitrasparent layer material
Post by: micvan on January 28, 2014, 12:49:27 PM
Hi guys,
I have  a problem. I want to create this material (attachment). It's composed by 3 layer (2 external layers semitrasparent and 1 central layer with organic material.
How do I create the same effect with Keyshot?
Thanks in advance

Mike

Might be best to do this with 3 separate surfaces with a small gap in between them.

Thanks...infact I used in front a surface with .png texture and back a parallelepiped with semitrasparent material. The result is good but the costruction of the scene it's long; if I have a complete and complex scene with different solutions or objects, with this material it's too long. Possible that not exist a fast way to create a single material to put on solids? Would be easier... :-\ :-\
However post the result, if someone has a different solution... ;) ;)

Yesssss...I found a better solution.
The correct way is inserting png image as label.
First step: choose material (in this case glass semi transparent).
Second step: insert .png texture on label's channel and that's all...
