Its a real gamble, its a toss up. Question....Will my Turntable Animation AVI be processed or not?
Right now the odds are about 50 / 50.
The AVI file gets written at the end of the rendered frame process. So I either get an AVI I can save or I get
(see attachment). Some rendering files for some reason never get processed, while some make it after several additional rendering attempts.
Did you render individual frames as well?
This happens when you render out a preview?

Yes, today I rendered a VR, after which I rendered an Animation of the same scene
(see attachment). Its a bit annoying after 1.5 hrs of rendering not to get an AVI file.
You will need to reduce the time per frame in the settings of the timeline.

FYI: I have not changed the default KS animation cycle of
5 sec/360 degree for any of my animations.
In fact I though it might have to do with the number of triangles KS has to render, but as you can see in my attachment, which contains 3 examples,
File size or number of triangles appears to play NO part if an AVI is created. What causes KS to crash, is still a puzzle.
If it crashes again, can you check C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Temp\KeyShotPreviewFrames\KeyShotPreviewVideo.avi? We trying to narrow this down.
Thanks.
I'm getting a bit nervous not about the time it will take, but more importantly if after all this time, the file will be saved to an AVI file (see the attached fractal)
We will look into it. You do know that you are only rendering out a preview?

A was going to do a simple turntable, using the default animation wizard settings
You are aware this great fractal is from the KS site?

I would also like to find out how this fractal was made into an obj. :)
It may well be that the animation AVI creation problem is related to the PREVIEW only.
I'm going to do animation from the RENDER TAB :)
So in 2.5hr. at 70sec/frame X 124frame on my machine, KS should produce an AVI
Correct.
