Title: Newbie question- multiple appearances in one file?
Post by: polar8 on March 05, 2014, 12:07:43 AM
Hey guys, I just started using Keyshot 4 and I have a question.

Let's say I imported a Solidworks model of a pen. I'm still deciding what I want the pen to look like, so I'd like to be able to quickly switch between, say, 3 visual versions of the pen. Each version has different materials, colors, labels, etc. But they all use the same Solidworks model for the geometry.

Is this possible in Keyshot?

Thanks!

Simply duplicate the parts that you want to alter and if you have the Pro version, you can create model sets. Otherwise you will need to turn things on and off manually in the scene tree.

I hope this helps.
