I'd like to suggest that a "Render Log" be generated to list the render number, render time and total for Queue passes. I bill my clients at a reduced rate for rendering time when I'm not at the computer.
I just finished a 67 rendering project for a client (each 6000 wide), and set them up in Queue to render overnight on my BOXX 32 core machine. Some took a lot longer than others due to materials, etc. They were all finished the next morning, but I have no idea how long they took.
This may sound arcane, but I think a simple "text" log may help a lot of us.

+1 for this feature, would definitely help with billing for render time
Are you guys considering using network rendering?
It does have extensive logging.

Hi DriesV, I did buy the network rendering license last year, but I run my business out of the house so my "farm" consists of three older computers (two of those laptops).
It just wasn't worth the effort to start up the three computers each time I needed to run some renders.

As you already own NR, another idea is to run network rendering on your main workstation alone. So your workstation is the master and the sole slave machine.
This way you can submit 'network jobs' -although rendering on one machine- and still get the benefits of NR (logging, lightweight application).

Great ideas, Dries! I did not know that NR had logging. I'm planning to add NR after we re-locate next month to Santa Fe, New Mexico. We've sold here, and have three weeks to get out. Yikes! And my workload has never been heavier.
I have my new BOXX 32 core, and plan to network to my older but solid Datel Systems 8 core. Also, I'm getting a goBOXX 1920 with 6 cores (12 hyperthreaded) so they will add up. My wish is a BOXX renderPRO, but I need the laptop more right now as my desktop will be down several months while we house hunt.
