Title: Keyshot & FilterForge
Post by: Robert V. on September 04, 2010, 05:21:01 AM
I have to say, using these 2 programs make me wonder how I managed before...

I took some of my keyshot renders (which on their own are very beautiful) and used (added) some filters I could quickly find.
I like the results, (thanks Bill, for the tip)

I like the top two.  I assume those are made using multiple filters?  Can you post the name of the filters?

Gotta love FilterForge!  It's a perfect fit with KeyShot, depending of course on your goal.  I got it primarily to create textures and bumps, but we don't need bumps anymore with KS2.  I use FF a lot now on final images for print.  Here's two, both from my RedRod model and giclee print series.  The B/W image is not "noise", but a very complex grain pattern that may not be obvious on this small an image.  The actual print is 24" x 30".

Which filter did you use for the first image? It's really neat!

nope, per picture 1 filter.

Top filter is called: "blueprint drawing"
2nd is called: "grunge"
and the third is: "burninator"
