Title: Changing component properties
Post by: bowen192 on May 01, 2014, 12:23:55 AM
Hi :o,

I am putting together a short animation on one of our products.  I am taking it apart and re-assembling it.

Can I add an animation whereby a component is highlighted somehow?  Changing colour or showing an outline for example.

Thanks

Me again :)
I am in the middle of a similar project in terms of what I need to do in keyshot.

As far as I know it isn't possible to animate properties of an object in keyshot directly.

I'd try with this. Assign the part you want to be highlighted to separate render layer and then add desired effect in compositing app ( change hue, saturation, add glow... whatever you think it will work). It's pretty straightforward, you just need to plan how many layers and which part to assign where.

Good idea that!

Cheers.
