Title: Pitching KeyShot to Creo users - How to?
Post by: DriesV on May 13, 2014, 10:13:48 AM
I'm meeting up with a bunch of designers using Creo (and a bit of SolidWorks) in a 3 seat design agency.
They do mostly highly technical work and aren't doing much rendering today. They do have Photoview in SolidWorks, but as most SW users know it pales to RGB 255, 255, 255 compared to KeyShot. :)
They're the kind of people who believe a rendering 'oversells' an early concept and still lean heavily on quick sketches and CAD screenshots for client presentations.

Any particular (Creo-centric) suggestions for how to wow them?

Try showing them some "toon" shots of their concepts to show them that it is highly descriptive, and not overselling.

Show them how easy it is to set up compared to importing into PhotoView, or god forbid, rendering in Creo!

Are they industrial designers or mechanical engineering designers? We do both in our studio and we use SW and Keyshot.

Both, but stronger focus on mechanical engineering.

Toon is a great idea!
