Title: Mac screen going to sleep pauses rendering - bug?
Post by: zachraven on June 05, 2014, 07:56:58 AM
Im using the trial of KS 5 on a rMBP, and i've noticed that when my screen goes to sleep (not the entire computer, just the screen turning off) it will pause the rendering, or at least slow it WAY down. Is this a known bug, or something i alone am experiencing. I've changed my power settings to not let the screen sleep, but thats not the best solution. Anyone else seeing this too?

Seems to happen also when the keyshot window is in the background of a full screen window. I just viewed a youtube video in full screen and my fans slowed down telling me keyshot isn't working as hard.

Make sure that "Prevent App Nap" is enabled.

Sweet, thanks Thomas. I had forgotten about this new feature of Mavericks.
