Title: Keyshot enquiries on glass surface
Post by: janewang123 on July 06, 2014, 08:06:46 PM
Hi

I'd applied glass material to my model however I keep getting uneven lines and waves on the glass surface. Is there anyway I can make it straight or improve the quality of it?

Thanks! :)

I'm new to keyshot but this looks like flawed geometry. Can you post the wireframe view of the area?

The Topology is not good, is this an OBJ or other wire mesh from a NURBs modelling app. It looks as if you have created a solid which is good. But then if you look at the wires where they join horizontal and vertical there are some edges that are very close together. They need thinning out a little, unless of course you are using version 5 of KeyShot, KS5 supports rendering of NURBs surfaces now.
