Title: KeyShot 5 Demo messed up on import.
Post by: Esben Oxholm on August 07, 2014, 05:40:51 AM
Hi.
I'm having problems with the demo of KeyShot 5.
When importing a model, the screen turns into what you see below and KeyShot then crashes.

I'm using a iMac 27" mid 2011 and KeyShot 5.0.99.

What to do?

I've found out that it happens when I try to import native Rhino files. I saved the model as a .stp, and now it imports just fine.

Esben,

First of all, please refrain from using profanity on the forum.

See if this solves your issue:

Any imports will cause a crash if your Finder is set to Cover Flow view or Icon view. Follow the steps below to set the List view mode in the Finder at import:

1. Open KeyShot
2. Click the Import button
3. Browse to your model and set the finder to list view. Then click Open.

KeyShot will crash once more, but after relaunch KeyShot will remember the list view configuration and the crashes will be gone.

Sorry about that. Won't happen again :)

What you suggest, solves the problem. Thanks.
