Title: new Miller 91 print
Post by: Speedster on August 20, 2014, 01:28:40 PM
Doing some new prints for an upcoming Concourse auto show, so I decided to start from scratch in KeyShot 5, and I'm sure glad I did!

First up is this 1927 Miller 91 Indy racer, the "Perfect Circle Special", as driven by Pete de Paolo.  Print is 16" x 24".

Inspired by the great backplate on the KS cloud.  I added several layers of "smoke" just for atmosphere, with masks, in PS post.  Used a ground plane (no material) to just clip the tires, but at 90 Psi, they sit up high.

SolidWorks.

Well you hit a home run once again. Absolutely love your modeling. This is no exception.
It's a keeper in my book !

Yep, me too!  It's valued about $10,000,000!  Harry Miller is one of my idols- he also invented the Front Wheel Drive, used on the 91's, and then on the Cord, and the rest is history!  The workmanship is amazing, like they did not use gaskets, with all mating surfaces being scraped and flaked to surface plates!
