Title: Import Units Issue with Rounded Edges
Post by: chippwalters on September 29, 2014, 12:26:44 PM
I am working in Lightwave and use mm to model handheld electronics. Just like Victaly Bugarov, I really have enjoyed using the Round Edges feature to add just a small amount of radius to sharp edges in my renders.

But, when I import my Lightwave OBJ mm object, it has quite a few undesirable artifacts. Here are the import settings:

Here is my best attempt at adding just a tad of Round Edges to this model:

The radius is set at .0001 (1) which is nice, but the rest of the artifacting in the model is unacceptable (2,3,4).

But, when I scale the model up 10X and then export, things work out much better. The radius is great (1) the setting is even larger with no artifacting (2) but I don't know why the select outline is so small (3) ??

Is there anything which I can do in Keyshot to keep me from having to always scale the model in Lightwave before exporting? Or is this a bug? Thanks for any help! :)
