I've noticed it on other programs too, check out Photoshop, jeez, you get eye strain trying to read the labels. It seems like 6 or 8 pt font is the favorite for programmers. They all must have perfect vision. Add to that, running the monitor in native resolution, which is usually pretty high, and you need start wearing cheaters to see what the heck the labels are. I get around it by turning down the monitor resolution a bit. On my HP laptop I went from 1920 x 1080 down to 1600 x 900 just so I could read the desktop icon labels.
