Title: NEED HELP! Lighting Issue
Post by: WKSouthwest on December 15, 2014, 12:07:03 AM
I surronded a model with planes, changed the material type to area light diffuse, but instead of emitting light, the planes are completely dark and emit no light.

Thanks in advance!

Were all these planes linked together (the same material/color) when exported? If so, try making them a separate material/color before exporting.

Did you change the intensity of the material?

When you use a area light diffuse you can have either the front or back of the part emitting light. Make sure they are both checked to emit light.
Or the model units are set to a very large scale. Type in a huge number for wattage like 10,000 and see if anything lights up. If it does then I would change your scaling units to something smaller centimeters usually works good for me. Can be found in the preferences.
Hope this helps.
If all else fails send me the ksp and I can look over it and see where the problem is.
My door is always open.

Just try with removing all the connection and try to fix it again.
