Title: Can't open Keyshot 5 after changing folders location

Hello all,

The title says it all really, it worked great before but since I changed the folder location to a custom folder on my machine, Keyshot 5 doesn't open.
I get a message saying

Backplate folder is invalid. Please choose another folder.

So my first idea is to choose the original one in C:/Users/public/Keyshot5 etc... but it is not working either...

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Hi Matt,

Please make sure you have full read and write permissions enabled on the folders you are pointing to.

If that doesn't work try deleting the keyshot5.XML file in your KeyShot 5 resources folder then relaunching KeyShot. This will set all your preferences back to default.

If that still doesn't work try uninstall and reinstall.

Deleting the .xml file worked indeed.
