Cool! Rubber is hard to get right though, isn't it? I've seen this mentioned in another thread...is tough to get right, the tyres don't appear emmissive enough. Did you use the standard rubber? Many moons ago I tried leather and removed the texture, seemed to look OK, but not perfect.

What program did you model the car in?

For tires one could use a darker rubber, maybe with some glossy effect (like it's wet, but only a small amount). A bumpmap can be used as well to enhance the texture of the tire...

Very nice/cool model!

Thanks for the comments.

The rubber I used was the standard rubber material from Keyshot, you're right it does need some more work.

I got the model from Skecthup 3D warehouse, just search under Caterham.

Blue 7
