Title: SolidWorks 2014 Crashing With New Plugin
Post by: Robb63 on March 29, 2015, 09:47:20 AM
Just downloaded and installed the latest Keyshot SolidWorks plugin. Now SW crashes every time I try to use the plugin to render, or update a scene.
I'm using the educational version of SW 2014

We are looking into this. Can you export a bip file?

SW crashes the second I hit "Render" or Update. Keyshot launches, and the import % window shows up, but nothing is in the KS scene. I'm happy to forward files, but am not sure what I would send?

Can you try and use "export to bip" from within SW?

We are getting set up with an SW EDU license and will take a look.

Yep, just tried a few other models, including creating a brand new one. All models crash once I use the KS plugin.
I didn't mentioned it originally, but in the Edu version of SolidWorks the KS plugin has always worked fine for me until this latest update.

Yes we are looking into it. So far, everything looks fine on our end. No crashes.

I'll uninstall the plugin, then try a fresh install. If that doesn't work is it possible to download the previous version?

Yes - sure. Simple change the number to the previous one.

I hope to have an answer by tomorrow.
