Post by: ginovanta on April 10, 2015, 12:37:35 AM
Hi everyone!
Could someone tell me why my renders show this "texture" that seems to disappear when zooming?
thank you so much

It's most likely a moire pattern effect that happens sometimes with digital images (not just 3d renderings). Usually it's due to the way the image is viewed at certain scale percentages. An image can look fine at 100%, 75%, 50%, 25% but can start showing patterns like that with odd percentage scales like 66.67%, 87.5%, etc.

If you can then try to render the image out at the size you need it. If you need to scale down then try to keep it at a percentage that usually divides by 4 or 8 (75%=3/4 etc.). This is usually due to the way computers process information and the associated algorithms used to scale digital images.

Also viewing the image in different scales can vary depending on the software being used, i.e., a rendering viewed at 25% in Keyshot might look different than the same image viewed at 25% in Photoshop.

It is quite a different pattern which is a rendering one.

Sorry, I don't know, but I just had to comment on your image...... There has been all sorts of hideous aliens, and ghoulish monsters posted on these forums, but this image trumps them all - its one of the creepiest things I have ever laid my eyes on. Sorry, not trying to be negative or snide, it just creeps me out, is all.

Anyway, I hope you find the solution to your problem.
