Title: Frosted glass + light
Post by: hannesgrebin on April 20, 2015, 07:48:16 AM
hey guys, looking for a way to create realistically looking frosted/milk glas. I know I have to increase the ray bounces to 12 in the settings to have fair results (otherwise black areas) but actually the frosted glass does not work with light properly. From what I know you can only render two images with one the frosted glass and one same surface applied with emissive light retouched in Photoshop afterwards. Any better idea? Thanks! Hannes

I'm actually not quite sure what you are trying to achieve. Also, you may want to try to use physical light materials light area light diffuse or point light diffuse.

Can you share an example?
