Title: My Mech Tutorial
Post by: Chris Rosewarne on May 11, 2015, 03:59:34 PM
Hi everyone, just a quick short post to say I've uploaded my mech tutorial to Gumroad, I cover Photoshop concepting, Sketchup modelling and Rendering in KS, this is the same approach I use when working on features. I will be expanding on these tutorials, the next one being "Cinematic Environment Rendering" where I will comp the KS render into a scene to make it look like a still form  a movie.

Here's some stills and I'll post some links inkling a trailer I made using animations from KS

Would love to hear your thoughts

Thanks

Chris

Good luck with Modo.  I have a seat, and basically gave up on it.  The learning curve is insane, especially when you're running a design business full time.  The training and minimal tutorials suck.  Forgive my blast, and I never give negative comments about anything, but frankly I'm really disappointed in Modo.

Bear in mind that I have no CGI background, and come from SolidWorks, so it's a very different world for me...

I'm learning Zbrush now, which is tough, but I'm making exciting progress.
