Title: Settings for BLACK DIAMOND
Post by: alecroma on June 19, 2015, 10:55:05 AM
Hi everyone!

I'm Alessandra and I'm writing from Italy! It's the first time I write in this forum.  :)

I'm using Rhino & Keyshot to create jewels! In the default library there isn't black diamond as a preciuos stone. Can anyone tell me which are the settings I have to choose to create this kind of stone? Colour, refractive index, clearness...?

Is there any source where I can find new materials (specific for jewelry)?

Thanks a lot  :)

I can't find any specific values for black diamonds here:
https://www.gemsociety.org/article/diamond/

So, I changed settings on the KeyShot diamond material per my KS render below, based on photos I found on the web.

These may be a good starting point for you.
