Title: Neon Urethane Orange
Post by: duke on July 07, 2015, 01:50:26 PM
Hi All,

I am trying to achieve a Bright Neon Orange Urethane material (see attached image). Would anyone have any advice or tips on how to achieve this material type? It would also be great to achieve the "lightness" or "translucency" at the edges.

Thanks,
Duke

Hi duke.
I fiddled a bit around with the translucent material.
Even though I didn't get the colors to match exactly, I hope it is useful to you anyways.

Best regards

Couldn't help doing a few more adjustments. I think it got a bit closer.

I uploaded the material to the cloud as 'Translucent Plastic Orange'.
I wasn't able to add a description though. KeyShot kept crashing when I tried to do that.

Esben,

Thank you for your help! The highlights on the edges look great. The client is still requesting a brighten "neon" pop color. I am moving towards this picture below. What are your thoughts?

I still need to introduce a darker red-orange, but really want to achieve the neon look...
