Title: Animations follow scene tree hierarchy??
Post by: theAVator on October 15, 2015, 11:57:03 AM
Got a question about animations and scene tree hierarchy. Please ref. the photo if I get too rambly bambly talky walky.

In my example I have the Cab, which I'll call the parent level, and the parts that make it up which I'll call the child level.
The purpose is to show different parts of the truck while fading out the other parts not being talked about.
1. Show the cab by fading out the axle parent level and the engine parent level - This should just leave the cab visible
2. Show more detail by also fading back the cab shell (child level)
3. Fade everything back in
4. Show engine by fading back Cab parent and Axle parent
** Now when I do this, everything fades out... EXCEPT for the cab shell child...

My question is Why?

Shouldn't the child follow the animation assigned to the parent level??
Any ideas that would solve this without a huge amount of work? Am I thinking about this incorrectly?

Thanks!
