Title: Embossing a Textured Surface
Post by: blessid on November 03, 2015, 03:01:58 AM
I was watching a great KeyShot quick tip about producing embossed textures. As useful as it was it only really applied to simpler textures, such as plastic materials (that don't require a bump texture of their own). I am working on a leather bag, and being as I only wanted to emboss the brand logo at the bottom corner, I can't apply it as a bump map (as the bump map is being used by my leather texture). A tricky one! Any ideas?

Thanks,
Luke

Version 6 will cover this :)
If you can't wait for v6 then you could model the logo and extrude or boolean it where it needs to be.

Hey Martin,

Thanks for the feedback! I'll have to adopt your suggestion in the mean time.

As a KeyShot 6 beta tester, I'm stunned by what this massive upgrade release will do for all of us!  I've yet to see an issue or request that had not been addressed by the KeyShot 6 team!
