What do you guys think of this??
C4D, XParticles, and the Keyshot 6 material graph,  with a few tweaks in Photoshop.

Thanks chaps, I hope Luxion don't mind me using their logo ball for all these experiments. This one got a fair amount of likes on my Instagram last night so I guess it's good promo for Keyshot

Very nice! Did you use the Material Graph Editor for the ground plane and texture?

Steve, I used the material graph for the ground and part of the ball, the ball is actually 4 meshes setup like one of those Russian nesting dolls.
