When applying a material from library? Let's say I coloured my object in 3ds max, some parts have actual textures, but some parts only have diffuse colors, is there any way to keep those when applying various materials? I know I can keep the texture by holding alt, but the color seems to go away on objects just with diffuse information :/
If you want to Keep the Color, then you can select the current material in the scene tree and use "change material type".
