Title: Depth Pass & AfterEffects
Post by: csdzz on March 23, 2016, 03:16:45 AM
Hi all,

I am currently playing with the Depth Pass of an animation in AfterEffects but I do not manage to get what I want.
I work in 32bits project and used this famous tutorial as reference:

BUT I do not manage to get the same level of depth detail on my object, which is way smaller than a car.
Here is the depth path I get with some tweaks:

Is there a way to get more accurate depth info on the object itself, without scaling up the model in Keyshot?

Second question is for the Depth Pass tweaking itself, did some people find a holy process to tweak and fine-tune a sequence of Depth Passes directly taken from Keyshot in AfterEffects (since the Exposure Correction in AfterEffects does not include a manual way to set the White and Black Points)?
Or is it worth to edit the batch of .exr in Photoshop?

I already checked the forum but did not find any related topic, maybe some of you guys get the answer?
Thanks!
