Title: Wrapping a label onto a square- ish bottle
Post by: Jackies on April 29, 2016, 08:59:54 AM
Hello,
I have to apply one label on a bottle. This label has to be on 3 of 4 sides of this square bottle.
The problem: normal projection cut the label on the sides (pic1). If i increase the depth it "extrude" the label (pic2), not respect the design.
UV mapping does shit.
Cylinder same.
Box repeats the facing of the label on the 4 sides.
For the moment i Cheat in cutting the label in 3, but its dirty !!! Its not professional ! (pic3)
Someone has an idea ??

Hi
I think you must do an UV unwrap in your modeler application
When i need to unwrap a model i use C4D.
And in KS use UV mapping.

A friend of mine find the solution :
Export your design in .igs and your uv mapping will be perfect !!!
