Title: Animating Labels
Post by: m2tts on May 12, 2016, 07:45:52 AM
I have a task where I need to animate an interface on a screen that is in my model, which is also being animated. Is there anyway possible to apply an animation as a label to a surface such that the label's "animation" advances one frame for every frame of the animation I'm making?

In Keyshot 6, I've also tried to animate the "Diffuse" channel of the label as it has two options on a right click;"color fade" and "number fade".  I tried  clicking these options but nothing happens, and nothing shows up in the timeline.

This sounds achievable through python scripting and KS6

You can find out more about number fade and color fade in the What's New Manual (https://www.keyshot.com/?ddownload=329322) and the material animations quick tip (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cjP6V_2mxA).

Applying an animation (a video clip I assume?) as a label is an interesting approach to showing video on a screen, but not currently possible.
