Title: "Kobra" Watch
Post by: SebasDesign on June 03, 2016, 10:00:49 AM
Hey guys, this is a little design project I've been working on. It's a smartwatch that has the looks of an expensive watch but you can turn it into "sport mode" and it expands to have better grip in your arm to not wobble when you run and as it expands it shows a secondary screen with customizable info and the main display changes to  super easy to read digital numbers... As with my other projects, everything is modeled in Maya.
Also with this I'm slowly diving into product renderings
Anyway any comments, thoughts, etc are well appreciated
-Sebas

I really dig these designs. They have a very James Bond feel about them!

hahaha you're right! I thought the exact same thing when I was doing the first sketches...
PS: I did a small animation to show a little better the watch opening mechanic, I'll leave it down here...

I like it!

I think this kind of concept is the way to go for me to even consider a smart watch. I mean, wrist watches is like the only "allowed" jewelry for a guy, so I really don't feel like having a techy miniature phone strapped to my wrist. This direction is much better in my opinion:)

The smallest version is my favorite btw.

EDIT: Just realized now that it's the same watch through your animation. Awesome.
