Title: Importing Paint Effects animation script
Post by: Zvi on July 08, 2016, 05:42:40 AM
I'm looking for a way to export from Maya to KeyShot Paint Effects animation of grass in the wind, after converting to polygons. In Paint Effects animation there are no keyframes. After installing the plugin I tried without success.
I was told by the support that if I have KeyShot 6 Pro (and I have) I can render animated meshesv via the scripting functionality.
Can someone help me with the scripting? (Animated Meshes, as needed for this case are not supported).

I don't know how to do this in Maya yet, too lazy to learn - lol - But you should export as Alembic Cache and have the geometry exported as Mesh objects during the process. From what i can see there is no support *.mc from Maya as of yet.
