Watched a documentary on Mountaineering the other day and then saw this model on GrabCAD...
Workflow is :
Zbrush + Substance Designer + Substance Painter + KeyShot + Photoshop

Thanks for taking a look...
Hello John. Very nice image ! You really captured the outdoor look. I find something odd with the number carvings though, but don't know exactly what it is. I feel like the edges should be a tad more rounded perhaps. You are rocking it (hah, lame joke) with the stone texture. :P
Awesome, John! Such incredible attention to detail! I always feel as if I could just reach into my screen and actually touch the objects in your imagery. And your lighting is always so spot on. The DOF is great...did you do it in post? I see some nice subtle bokeh happening.
Cheers,
Eric
Damn... amazing piece. Your material work is stunning!
Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated...
Nicolas - yes you are right, the inset text does look a little iffy, but my excuse is I didn't model it ;) normally a visual disturbance like that would really put me off, but I liked the model. I then considered posting it out and replacing it with something else, but in the end I obviously didn't ;)
Eric - thank you very much :) the DOF is pure KeyShot, if you're referring to the top left corner, then that is an image of bokeh overlaid in post, although the slight bokeh you can see in the bottom right is KeyShot generated.
Esben - thanks dude, well I'm having to keep up with the awesome talent on this forum and by that I mean you ;)

I've replaced the original render with one that has a label in place of the inset geo - other than that everything is exactly the same :)
I think it looks much better...
You never cease to amazing me ! LOVE IT !!!!!
Much better indeed. Great work.
Score!
Just downright amazing. Love it, and great subject for the rock details you've been doing.
I don't think you come closer to pornography, John. This is borderline erotic in visual quality. As others point out, you never cease to amaze with your images.
And of course, obligatory comment: Very cool. Badum-tss.

Thanks Nicolas, really appreciate you taking the time to comment :) ...
It's always good to see you showing your metal J, that subtle tint to the lighting and the ore content of the rock adding some glistening highlights to the scene just adds that level of realism that many forget. It's an awesome render buddy and certainly another worthy addition to your portfolio pieces.
