Title: When deleting cameras, crash if delete currently active camera
Post by: sethcshort on September 19, 2016, 02:44:11 PM
If I'm looking out of a particular camera, and I delete the camera, it crashes Keyshot.

Expected behavior is that the Free Camera would be shifted to current location/settings and would become the active camera -- basically the same as would happen if I manually selected Free Camera.

Unfortunately this crash doesn't happen every time. Next time I encounter a file that causes it, I'll post it here.

Thanks,
Seth

I can't reproduce this in KeyShot 6.2.105. What version of KeyShot are you running?

The same version, 6.2.105.

I've encountered this a few times. With the most recent occurrence earlier today, I attempted to clean up the file (it had lots of proprietary NDA models in it) so I could share it, but once I removed all the models the crash didn't happen. I just went back into the original file, didn't clean it up, and deleted the cameras ... an no crash.

Arg. It's frequent enough that I have to remember to save my file before deleting cameras just in case, but infrequent/sporadic enough that I don't know how to reliable reproduce it.

If I figure out a way to get you a reproducible error I'll let me know. Or, if there's a crash log file I could post, let me know where I might find that.

Thanks,
Seth
