Title: Render settings Emissive materials
Post by: Deepimage on February 01, 2011, 01:06:10 AM
Hi there Shotties,

I have immense problems with rendering a LED ring (emissive material). See attached picts. Without the "BLOOM" checked and a sampling setting of 124 the emissive ring is jagged and the illuminated areas are to grainy. With "BLOOM" checked the grain is less but the illuminated region is blurry!!

Like to get rid of the grain and have a sharp LED-ring and crisp render? Hoop there is a solution.

Cheers Peter

The global illumination quality setting will help smooth that out. Try setting it to 2 or 3.

Also, does it look okay if you let it render in realtime for a little while? If so, try "use realtime render" in the render menu, then set how long you want it to render for in the quality tab.
