Title: Keyshot as a web design tool
Post by: NormanHadley on February 16, 2011, 04:46:27 AM
I fell to thinking, a fortnight or so back, whether I could use Keyshot to design some rollover buttons for my website [when I'm not designing engines, I write].

What I found was a whole heap of potential to render the same scene with different materials or lighting and swap out the relevant area in the CSS (Cascading Style Sheet).

I mention this, not because I think this forum is the ideal place to hawk poetry, but from wondering if anyone might be inspired to try something similar for their site. I was thinking you could use emissives to make buttons light up, for example. The possibilities are limitless.

I've been using Keyshot along with Photoshop to make web page elements also.  But you take roll-over buttons to a whole new level.  Good job!

Cheers, Ed. This was just done as a lunchtime project over a week or two but you could really go to town with this stuff.
