Title: Any tips?
Post by: Andyshaw on February 23, 2011, 03:38:34 PM
Hey,
I have been playing with keyshot for a while now,
coming from photoworks and pw360 , I couldn't be happier to make the change to keyshot.
I am starting out as a product designer and Im sure there are many designers here.

Here is a quick render of a rubiks cube alongside my company logo,

I am thinking of creating an image like this for a publicity shot.
has anyone any pointers for using a logo in a render?

Awesome - thanks for the kind words.

Have you considered using a background image? And then place the "3D object into the image"? Just a thought!

Hi Thomas.
Yes was thinking along those lines if a backplate.
but what I like about having the capabilities of rendering a 3d logo, why not run with it.
Some thing along the lines of the keyshot splash screen, which I love.

Agree - certainly gives you a lot of flexibility. We render all of our logos and icons. Because we can.
