Just looking at the Milky White Clock BIP. When I double-click on any of the materials and look at the 'Material type' drop-down I see Advanced
Anisotropic
Dielectric
Diffuse
Emissive..
Solid Glas..
Thinfilm. etc.
When I check my material library I don't have many of these material groups although I always check 'overwrite materials' when I upgrade. I'm on the current release BTW.
How can I get back to the 'default' material library with the option of adding my own material groups - it's all got rather messy.
I am not sure I understand the question ... The materials in the Material Library are created based on these core material types.
The point is, my materials (in my materials folder) don't match what I believe to be the standard Keyshot materials any more even though I've chosen to overwrite when upgrading.
I can't see the groups called
Anisotropic
Dielectric
Diffuse
Emissive
Solid Glass
Thinfilm. etc.
...it's related to this thread...

I believe the materials library handling is a bit of a mess in Keyshot and is probably my biggest gripe.... :(
We don't have groups like Anisotropic, Dielectric etc ... These are material types.
