Title: Small scale network rendering
Post by: Joe Knapton on June 30, 2017, 06:58:26 AM
Hi,
I've just bought a Network Render licence so that I can continue working on Keyshot whilst sections of my animations are rendering.
I'm hoping to do this by using a second desktop computer to do the rendering, while I continue to work on my current computer.

Should I be setting up the computer that I plan to use for rendering as the 'Master' or as the 'Slave'?
Also, do the computers need to be connected by cable?

You set up the machine that does the rendering as "slave". You probably want to set it up as master as well. The master manages licensing, distribution and collection of regions. WIFI is fine.
