Title: Deleting animations but keeping part positions
Post by: Joe Knapton on July 05, 2017, 07:44:34 AM
Hi,
Is there a way to delete animations, but retain the location of all the parts that have been animated?

What kind of move an animation can do, that the move tool won't do?
What happens, if you animate the group instead the part and move the part into another group? (Did that make sense?)

I'm interested in the solution.

My Problem is that I have a long animation that I'm in the middle of, and several of the rotations that I made early on in the animation are causing problems by changing their axis of rotation.

I understand that rotations seem to be sensitive to their positioning within the scene tree, and I can rectify the problem temporarily by changing their position in the scene tree. However, as soon as I import any new parts, or close Keyshot down, the parts change position again.

If I could delete the offending rotations, but keep the parts in the position that they've been animated to, I could break the overall timeline into several sections and create separate files for each section. Then edit the sections together to create a seamless video.
