Title: Send To Network - Not working
Post by: JGulliford on September 22, 2017, 04:10:28 AM
Hi,
I've just purchased 32 core network rendering license today for use with Keyshot 6. I have setup the manager, workers and the Network Monitor (7.1.36) too which is showing 2 active workers (the PC where Keyshot 6 is installed and an iMac on the same network) using 16 of 32 cores. So everything seems connected.

However when I try to send a job to the network, Keyshot shows a prompt for a couple of seconds stating 'Connected to Network Queue Manager', but when I check back in the Network Monitor there aren't any jobs in the list.

I've tried it with a ~1GB  KS file and then a ~200MB KS file, but no joy.

I have been wondering whether I am using the right Network Monitor for Keyshot 6, or is the Network Monitor not dependent on specific Keyshot versions?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Did you install the older NR6 or the newer NR7? In the newer 7 version during setup you can choose to allow it to accept jobs from KS 5 and 6. Make sure that this option is checked on the master machine. you might have to run the configurator again to turn that on. Other than that, make sure NR has permissions to write to the directories it needs to to store its temp and render files.

If that doesn't take care of it drop a line to support@luxion.com with a sample project, they are usually very quick and responsive to support requests.
