Title: Animation of Bike
Post by: falco on October 02, 2017, 02:01:19 AM
Hi all,

Was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

I have a model of a bicycle/push bike and also a model of a wall mounted cycle stand.

The cycle stand which is fixed to a wall has an arm that comes down, collects the front wheel of the bicycle and lifts the front wheel so that the bicycle is stored against the wall with its front wheel vertical in the air.

I have managed to create an animation of the bicycle approaching the cycle stand, the arm of the cycle stand rotating downwards to collect the front wheel.

But how do I get the front wheel of the bike to follow the hinge at the end of the cycle stand arm as it is lifted in the air and moved against the wall?

There are three movements which need to happen at the same time. The bike is rotated to be vertical, it is lifted in the air and it is moved horizontally to be against the wall.

I am struggling to identify how to attach the front wheel to always move directly with the hinge on the cycle stand.

Cheers,

Mark
